Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Jim and his wife Sally have been with East Rochester and our sister church Bayard since July 1, 1998. Rev. Jim has been a pastor of United Methodist Churches since 1984 when he received his first appointment as the pastor of his home church while still a student. He attended Kent State University and the United Methodist Course of Study School at Evanston ILL. 
Rev. Huston also does revivals and special services through the year as well as being the pastor of two United Methodist Churches.
Rev. Jim & Sally have been married for 32 years and have two children and six grandchildren.

Mission Statement of Rev. James A. Huston

It is my mission as pastor of the East Rochester and Bayard United Methodist Churches to raise up disciples for Jesus Christ. I am called to teach, train, and equip the body of Christ to be in ministry. 

It is my mission to reach as many people with the gospel of Christ as possible through the preaching of the word, and the teaching of others to take the Gospel into all the world.
